Commissioned Work

I accept a limited number of commissioned oil paintings each year, created with the same care, realism, and attention to detail as my personal work.

Commissions are available for:

  • Portraits
  • Pet portraits
  • Select landscape or architectural subjects

Each commission is an original oil painting on canvas, created from reference photographs and guided by personal consultation.

How the Commission Process Works

  1. You contact me with your idea and reference photos.
  2. We discuss subject, size, composition, and overall direction.
  3. I provide a quote and estimated timeline.
  4. Once approved, the painting is created in oil on canvas.

Commissioned works are priced higher than speculative studio paintings, reflecting the custom nature of the work and the time involved.

Sizes & Pricing (Guideline)

Commissions are available in a range of sizes. Pricing depends on size, subject complexity, and specific requests.

As a general reference:

  • Small to medium commissioned portraits typically begin at $600
  • Commissioned works are priced approximately 20–30% higher than studio paintings of comparable size
  • Final pricing is confirmed before work begins

Local Photo Sessions (Puerto Rico)

For local clients in Puerto Rico, I offer the option of an on-location photo session when suitable reference images are not available.

This may include:

  • Portraits of people or pets
  • Natural or controlled lighting using professional equipment
  • A location chosen by the client or artist

This service is available locally and discussed during the consultation stage.
